This bowl is very shiny and hard to photograph but I wanted to capture the beautiful glaze result. I copied a glaze combo posted on the Spectrum Facebook group by Kathy McGuire. She calls it her "Frozen Pond" glaze. The base glaze is Amaco Obsidian then dots of Spectrum Running Hot Chowder. The last glaze layer is Spectrum Autumn Purple. I love how potters are happybto share their glaze combinations. 💜

Straight out of the kiln today and into the club's Xmas sale.
I make these things but I don't need or want them. I just like making them.
I used screens and Amaco rainforest over snow on the inside.

I've been seeing so many pumpkins made on the wheel by potter's lately I had to give it a go. They're ok but the challenge is to make them bigger with the same amount of clay. I have almost used up all my Ancient Copper glaze on these pumkins 😔.
If you know of a similar glaze please let me know.

I should know to do test tiles first to save myself stress and dollars. After the 3rd glaze fire and 7 different glazes, I finally managed to like it. The screens are from tools

🥑 I love, love, love avocados so I decided to make them there own special plate. My perfect avocados were made using and glazed with Mayco birch 🥑

This is my favourite bowl shape. It takes up less space than a round bowl.
Glazed with Ochre celedon.
