End-of-year factory close down is almost here 🎄

There’s only 2 more days left for online orders before we wrap up on Friday! Orders placed after our closedown date will be dispatched on our return Monday 12th January 😄

Huge thank you for all your support this year we are so grateful and we can’t wait to be back making clay again in the New Year!

PS. New sign on the building went up yesterday… you can actually find us now 🤣

December is pumping so far! Our presses are running around the clock 😅 lots of clay being made as we near the factory shut down for the year!

Last week we had a new NZ ball clay delivered to site which we are super excited about! This material is a much cleaner (low lignite) ball clay than the darker clay shown in photo 1 & 2

Lignite?

Lignite is an organic material found in some ball clays

Can lead to issues such as:

‼️Pinholing
‼️Bloating
‼️Black Coring

Cleaner Ball Clay:

✅ Improved stability
✅ Better consistency

As we continue improving stability and quality, we’ll be phasing out the darker ball clay used in some of our historic blends.

Why? Cleaner clay means less variability and fewer firing surprises 🥳
