Hi everyone, I’ve been very quiet on here for a few months, and thought I’d better give a long overdue update. I have been taking a much needed step back from being in the public space. To be truthful I ended last year feeling rather burnt out, & realised I needed to make some life changes & start filling my own tank again. As my life had become very work & obligation heavy. When I dreamt up what I wanted the Beacon Hill brand to be, back in 2008 my guiding principle was that I wanted it to be the sort of place I would love to visit but couldn’t find. It needed to be a place that nourished, inspired, was safe & beautiful, I wanted it to be a gift to hard working women’s hearts. A respite & little escape from the mundane world. My heart has always been to bless people, and this has not changed. But I realise that to a degree I have lost that for myself, and have been giving from an empty tank for quite a long time. Hence I decided to close for the first time over winter & made the call to not host the Christmas Market this year. I was planning to re open my store for Spring/Sept but I am still not ready as the shop looks like this 🔝😂 as I sit here & contemplate my next few weeks of painting. 😮💨. I am really loving having the time & space to be creative again & tick off a lot of tasks that in my normal world I just don’t have the time for. I’ve been actually working very hard, making my way around the property finishing lots of niggly little jobs, doing some major landscaping, painting, gardening, cooking, catching up with my very neglected patient friends. I am feeling my creativity coming back & realise for me to feel happy I need to have time & space to create. So basically what I’m saying is this: I will NOT be re opening in September. I have a solid few weeks of painting in front of me, I’m taking it slow & doing it at my own pace. Be assured I WILL reopen when I’m ready & you will all be the first to know. Thank you to my beautiful Beacon Hill tribe. I love you & truly appreciate your incredible support of me. Much love Rebekah xx
