Preserving these tiny moments is one of my absolute favorite parts of this work. šŸŒø

When this mum reached out with her visionā€”bringing her babyā€™s print to life with hand-pressed blooms arranged into a subtle heartā€”I knew it was going to be something truly special.

Every stem was chosen with care to frame those tiny details, creating a keepsake meant to be held close for a lifetime.

Itā€™s now safely packed and heading across the Tasman to its new home in Australia! šŸ“¦āœØ

I am still completely speechless. šŸ¤ÆšŸ˜­

When I put together the floral hand and footprint frame for little Archer, I thought it was going straight onto a nursery shelf. Then, his mama sent me this video.

She took the exact botanical design I created and had it permanently tattooed on her arm. To see my artwork turned into a literal piece of a motherā€™s forever history is the most mind-blowing, beautiful honor of my entire career.

I still canā€™t stop staring at how perfectly the tattoo artist captured the tiny petals and details! šŸŒøāœØ

I made the hard decision to throw away all of my pressed flowers. It felt so wrong seeing those beauties go into the rubbish.

I pressed them for 6 weeks. Went flower hunting, pedaled out on my bike to faraway places and found the most unique little beauties. šŸŒø

On our very last day in Bali, I got the news no traveler wants to hear: our plane was delayed by 2 hours. Almost the exact time of our connection in Auckland. My heart sank.

As always, I declared my pressed flowersā€”New Zealandā€™s biosecurity is so strict, and Iā€™ve done this before without a problem. But this timeā€¦ we didnā€™t have the time. If we wanted to make our connecting flight home, there was only one choice.

So I let them go. Left every single bloom behind. šŸ’”
It felt so wrong, after all the love and care I had poured into pressing them.

But it was the right decision. We made it to the gate with just 15 minutes to spare.
Still, my heart stayed behind with those Balinese beauties. šŸŒŗ
