Just a quick note to say we will be set up at The Foreshore Market tomorrow with the candles and Mighty Toys garden art pencils.
We are there from 10 - 3 so pop down and check us out at a new location.

Hi everyone,

It’s been a minute and I’ve been slack on here but rest assured the work has been done in the background.
I’ve been cutting bottles and pouring candles ready for the market this Sunday.

We will be at The Seaside Market this Sunday from 10-2pm.

Mighty Toys will have mighty garden art pencils there too.

What an awesome day we had The Seaside Market. Your support today was amazing and much appreciated.
It was humbling to receive your support and hear your stories. So many of you are fighting cancer and or know someone who has been affected by it.

Thanks to your generosity I will be donating $660 to Taranaki Cancer society tomorrow in support of my beautiful friend Leslie and to honour those who are fighting cancer and those who have unfortunately lost their life to cancer.

Friday Fragrance is on hold for the next couple of weeks because …

Something special is happening at The Seaside Market on Sunday 3rd May.
Firstly it is the weekend before Mothers Day so it’s your chance to buy mum a beautiful candle or two.

Secondly I will be donating 50% of my sale proceeds to the Taranaki Cancer Society. Why you ask? Because of this beautiful, generous, kind hearted person. Leslie has been my friend for 20 odd years and she has recently been dealt a tough blow.
About 6 weeks ago she was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour. She has had surgery to have as much removed as was possible but now she has to have chemo and radiation. I didn’t get a chance to donate to her Relay for Life team as she wasn’t able to participate due to her circumstances.
Another of Leslie’s friends set up a give a little page for her. Her friend’s 5 year old daughter cut her very long hair to donate to be made into wigs for those who have lost their hair through chemo and radiation. Leslie didn’t want me to contribute to this, which I totally understand. All proceeds from the give a little are going to Leslie and Dwayne to ease some of the financial pressure that comes through not being able to work. This is my way to acknowledge her and the other people that I currently know who are dealing with cancer at the moment and to honour all those that have fought cancer and those who lost their lives to this insidious disease. Personally I lost my dad to cancer 17 years ago. Aaron lost his mum to cancer 15 years ago and my mum beat cancer 5 years ago.
1 in 3 people will be affected by cancer in their life. That is just way too many.
So in short if you support me I will be able to donate more to the Taranaki Cancer Society. Every little bit helps.

Let’s go for an oldie but a goodie this week.
This is one of my personal favourites.

This fragrance has the aroma of freshly cut lemongrass. Like lemons but sweeter, milder and far less acrid.

I say it’s a great kitchen candle as it’s perfect for getting rid of cooking smells and it also helps keep flies away.

You can’t go wrong with this fragrance.
