I had a customer bring a picture of a card she wanted to make in one of our classes.
So I hunted around and found a YouTube tutorial. Only problem it was for a 7 x 5' card and I wanted no large than 10.5 x 14.98cms. So I sat down with ruler, pencil, grid paper, and retired card.
Did lots of calculating and measuring till I thought I had it. Made one in retired card, it appeared to work.
Came beck to it next day to make a sample from current stock. But would it work, of course not so back to the drawing board.
What is that old saying If at first you don't succeed try and try again.
Well I did and hey presto ended up with a beautiful Shutter card.
Managed to teach it in class and although a bit on the tricky side everyone succeeded in creating their own shutter card.

When you join me for a stamping event at my house, the table looks organized and ready for you to create your projects. It is our dining room table and with just two of us it only gets used when we entertain. In between it is used for creating projects. But a slight change this month, it has been a busy couple of weeks did an extra class last week. Two of my class attendees were not available for the October session, in addition one of them had a friend staying from out of town who used to come to my classes and wanted to come and make cards. Of course you never say no, especially for a past member. So for them I did the October projects. At the moment the table is ready for classes this week making the September projects. Don't you love it when your crafters can't stand to miss out. That does not stop me creating, just set up the trestle and carry on.
Not as messy as it was yesterday as today is tidy up day. Today I put away all the bits I don't need for the classes. Then after classes finished put the trestle away and move the dining table back to its normal place.
