Tau 2 of study is underway with Te Wānanga o Raukawa!
I know we are approaching Hōtoke ❄️☃️ and no one wants to think about Christmas yet 😂 however, I will be trying my best to have some stock ready this year!, I won’t be taking commission mahi this year as I find it very limiting and to be honest quite demanding in some ways…

I’m still here doing the do’s, chipping away with study and continuing to mahi rāranga, remembering what it is like to study 😅 and how much paper work seems to be a wero for me🥴🫣I am grateful to be able to continue learning and growing pukenga 🙏
Completing this Kahu rākai was a big accomplishment for me, given our tight time frames, and the hours put into this kākahu while working and still doing life! Free evenings and weekends became consumed in completing this mahi…🤍

It’s been a loooong time since I’ve posted on this page!

It’s been a heck of a year and a half! A year of unexpected life changes, challenges and determination and resilience 🤍
We are now coming out the other side of my husbands cancer journey and grateful is how our whanau are feeling.

There’s been time to reflect on what was and let it go going into our tau hou✨

Mahi Rāranga is what helped keep my hinengaro busy and active as well as the tautoko from our ataahua friends and whanau ❤️
we are grateful ❤️

Here’s a little snippet of my mahi during this time although these Taonga have gone to whanau, friends and some to Tahiti!

I’m taking the time to study at Te Whare Wananga o Raukawa to continue putting the pukenga I learn into my kete of matauranga 💚

Heoi tamariki, mahi and life has been busy!
I had the honor of being asked to awhi our tamariki and their roopu with creating kākahu. To be honest I was nervous! Nervous that I’d create something that didn’t meet expectations, nervous that what I made wouldn’t work but excited at the same time! To have been trusted to come up with something and bring to life the ideas bought forward.
I could not have done this alone and acknowledge my Aunty Gennie who whakatō te kākano for me to pick up the passion of rārangā and to my cuzzy Kim Kahu whom shared her mataurangā and was also my kaiako, also to cuzzy Sarah-Lee who was by my side helping wherever she could and believing, and I can’t forget those who helped shred shred shred harakeke!❤️🤍
