The latest Inspirations magazine has arrived, and it is flying off the shelf. How could it not with a super cute Blue Penguin doorstop on the cover. We have a few of the Appletons crewel wool to complete this item, but there are also some of the new Eco Vita Merino Wool by DMC that could be used. Grab your copy (we only have 3 left) now.

Insul-bright is an insulating material ideal for home sewers and crafters. Consisting of polyester fibers needle-punched through a nonwoven substrate and a reflective metallised film. The needled material breathes and won't break down with washing. The metallised film reflects energy, hot and cold, back to itself. There is no right or wrong side. Cover with fabric before ironing. Not to be used in the microwave.

Suggested Uses: Hot pads, Lunch bags, Placemats, Oven mitts, Tea cosies and Casserole Covers

A cuddly little stuffie bear with the added charm of sashiko stitching in two colours.

The fabric is preprinted with the pattern pieces and the sashiko stitches so all you have to do is open the package and start stitching! Kit has fabric and instructions only, you will need sashiko thread, needle and some stuffing material.

Size: Sitting height is 16.5 cm (about 6 1/2")

When you have finished stitching, cut out the pattern pieces and assemble the bear following the instructions in the package. After that, rinse the fabric in warm water until all the markings on the fabric have washed away. Dry and stuff you little bear.

This bear will be machine wash and dry once he is finished. You could add buttons for eyes to bring him to 'life' but if the bear is for a young child it might be safer to make stitched eyes

Ruth has been working her fingers to the bone on this quilt. So much hand appliqué and the stitches are so fine you can’t see them. Such a work of art by a talented quilter. It is still a work in progress.
