Growing up in South Africa, we always had a few pieces of Riempie furniture in our homes. These ranged from dining room chairs to small folding field stools, which we still use today.
I love having these pieces in our home, and continue to draw inspiration from their intriquing, yet simple style and a reminder of my childhood.
Picture here is beautiful, one-of-a-kind Riempie Bench made by woodworker Stefan Benadé from old bed frames made from Rimu, a native New Zealand timber.
