Whai Swamp Kauri Design, the talented Brent Martin has made us more beautiful rays and platters, the Large stingray has an eye made from kina shell, paua and resin. The 3 smaller stingrays have sparkly resin eyes, our new additions are the Mantaray, new Inanga platter and condiment platter.

Upa Upa Ukulele

The Upa Upa Ukulele is a collaboration between Upa Upa (Tahiti) and Paihia based artist Paitangi Ostick.

Paitangi designed the traditional Ta Moko patterns featured on these instruments.

Each Ukulele comes with a protective case and x2 specialized Upa Upa picks.

Andrew Lawrie

Another very welcome, super talented addition to Wood2water, Andrew Lawrie. We have his hand carved Bone & Kauri necklaces. Manuka and Pohutukawa bowls, spoons & spatulas. Green swamp Kauri, Purple heart, Cedar & Mahogany Boards, a Small Stool made from Taiere. And a collaboration with his mother Cherry, another one of our artists, a Puriri with hand painted Pohutukawa tile stand.

Two featured artists at Wood2Water in Russell

For 30 years Jeremy Bowen made the most wonderful and high quality leather shoes from his workshop in Russell. Unfortunately he had to give up shoe making due to an allergy.

For the past 10+ years he has been honing his bag making skills with the same honesty and attention to detail, always keeping an eye on style.

And now he is as famous for his bags, wallets and belts as for his shoes.

Nicola Griffin is a new artist we have welcomed into Wood2water with her beautifully made Retro Blanket Children's and Adult Ponchos and Cushions (last two photos)
