A post touched with a little sadness.
We are likely to cease operating as a local collective of crafts people. After 25 years in downtown Ōtaki and being blessed with landlords asking minimum rental for our premises, we will very probably be unable to operate when our lease in The Arcade expires, end of October.
We are very grateful for the many people who have supported Choices, past and present.
We are a collective of local crafts people who enjoy making our creations available to others, and in doing so, providing a unique outlet adding to the character of downtown Ōtaki.

Looking for woollens to keep those fingers and toes warm? There is still a good selection of knitted mittens and slippers in our wee shop. And lovely merino garments for the new-borns to 4 year-olds. Jill has crafted more exquisite dolls while Heather has produced lovely fabric wallets for those notes and cards. Come in to our new space. We are pleased with our new look within The Arcade (Main St Otaki). Don’t be deterred by the new alterations taking place around us.
We have the usual winter articles like hand-knitted woollen gloves, slippers and beanies and a great range of merino garments for the babes and little ones.
New art works from Margaret are worth a look. Graeme has added to his wooden toy collection. And Viv is always creating new hand-made soft toys. Don’t overlook Magdalena’s special beeswax candles!
