One minute you're simply admiring a beautiful project, and the next thing you know, you've bought the fabric, gathered the supplies, cleared a space on the sewing table, and added another project to the growing pile. 😂 Then comes the familiar promise: “I'll get to it eventually.” Somehow, “I can probably make that” has a way of creating more unfinished projects than free time!

But maybe those unfinished projects aren't something to feel guilty about. They are reminders of the ideas that excited us, the things we were curious enough to try, and the moments when we believed, “I think I can make this.” Every project teaches us something—even the ones that don't turn out the way we imagined. Every mistake builds experience, every new technique builds confidence, and every stitch brings us a little closer to becoming the maker we want to be.

So keep saying yes to new ideas. Keep experimenting, keep learning, and keep creating—even when the project pile gets a little ridiculous. Your creativity isn't measured by how quickly you finish everything. It's measured by your willingness to keep learning, keep trying, and keep bringing your ideas to life. ✨🧵❤️

I’ve been a little quiet lately… but for good reason!

I’ve been busy behind the scenes with scissors, fabric and my sewing machine, building up stock for the upcoming market season! 🧵✂️

The first market is next month, and I’ll be sharing all the details with you very soon, so keep an eye out! 👀

But that’s not all… something NEW is coming to Protea Creations! ✨ Something practical, something useful, and something you’ll reach for every single day.

Measure twice? Absolutely.
Measure again? Obviously.
Measure one more time just to make sure? You know it. 😂🧵

Because in sewing, sometimes the measuring tape has trust issues… and apparently, so do we! 😆 One tiny measurement mistake can turn a beautiful sewing project into a very creative interpretation of the original pattern.

But here’s the real lesson: getting it wrong doesn't mean you should give up. Sometimes you simply need to pause, check your work, make a few adjustments, and try again. That’s how we learn, improve, and create something even better than we imagined.

Life is a lot like sewing. We don't always get the measurements right the first time. We make mistakes, rethink our plans, and occasionally have to “measure again.” 😂 But every correction is part of the process.

Don’t be afraid to start over. Don’t be embarrassed by mistakes. Keep learning, keep creating, and keep going. The finished masterpiece is worth every little adjustment along the way. ❤️🧵✨
