Temuka Pottery is made in New Zealand by artisans using
simple machines and old-fashioned methods. A few items are imported in ‘ready to glaze’ form to complement our core range. Glazing is done by hand and is often applied in two layers to create a deliberate emphasis on the runs, finger marks, and imperfections characteristic of handmade pottery. No two pieces are exactly alike and some variatio

n between batches can be expected. In this way, we hope to produce pottery with a hand-crafted character that you will treasure. Temuka Pottery is proudly New Zealand owned, operated, and made.
