Functional pottery hand thrown by Mike Hooton and made here in the Kaipara with materials locally sourced including Waipu Sand in our stoneware/porcelain and a Kaipara Red clay created here in studio and sourced from our land. Our stockists are
in Maungaturoto and in Paparoa

I am truly loving these shaped vases, wheel thrown then altered, definitely my jam.
New light box too, so I'm trying to get used to taking photos of my work before they go to their forever homes.

I am so happy this duo lasted less than one hour in the gallery, we did not even get them to the exhibition opening, within the hour of a soft opening they where sold, being packed up Saturday and heading off to Australia on Sunday 😄✨ I think I have a series coming ✨
