The work in the workshop is only one part of a joinery project.

Before we manufacture anything, we talk through how you want the space to work, design it, refine the details and confirm the quote. Once everything is approved, we complete the final site measure, manufacture the joinery, then install it and coordinate the details.

Keeping the process with one team means fewer handovers and less for you to chase from the first conversation to the final fit.

Meet Nick B**r, Cabinet Maker 👋

Nick’s been part of the Orchard Joinery family for 16 years, so he knows his way around the workshop pretty well by now. You’ll usually find him building cabinets or working on the CNC and edgebander.

He’s recently been getting into more detailing and drafting too, and every now and then he heads out on-site to check measurements.

Nick knows his stuff, notices the little things and is always keen to keep learning. We’re pretty lucky to have him around.

Meet Brent, the man who keeps a lot of the workshop moving.

He’s our Foreman and Production Manager, with 34 years as a qualified joiner and 20 of those spent here at Orchard Joinery.

Brent’s worked across timber windows, doors, stairs, spray painting and bespoke furniture. He’s got a lot of knowledge under his belt, and he’s still the one making sure the details are right before a job heads out the door.

A timber door needs to do its job, but it should look like it belongs there too.

We manufacture our doors to work with the rest of the home, whether that means following your plans or matching the timber joinery already in place. Painted doors are fully primed and fitted with heavy-duty draft seals, while feature doors can be pre-finished in our factory before install.

It’s a detail that changes the feel of a home, especially when it’s made to suit it from the start.

We’ve got these wardrobes on the go in the workshop at the moment. The lighting runs down both sides and is connected into the house lighting, so it comes on with the room. We’re adding glass doors up top too, which should look pretty swish once they’re in.

Just waiting on site now, then we can get them fitted.

This cabinet has a bit of personality, with open shelves to display the good stuff and closed sections to keep the rest tucked away. The built-in lighting gives the open spaces a warm glow and makes the whole unit feel like part of the room, especially at night.
