Hi everyone, the shop has moved online only for the winter.

We have a popup shop in the downtown area during the summer season, about Oct 15 - April 15. During the winter, we ship online orders, or customers come to the workshop in my home, which is in Northcote. Northcote is about a 15 minute drive from downtown or about $25 by Uber from the CBD.

If you are interested in visting the workshop in Northcote, please send an email to [email protected] a day or two prior.

Our new sign now hangs proudly in its new home welcoming makers to New Zealand Fabrics & Yarn at 233 Queen Street, inside the historic Strand Arcade.

Since October 2025, this space has been our new base for celebrating the very best of New Zealand fabrics and yarns, with a strong focus on New Zealand designers, natural fibres, and specialist maker knowledge.

Our New Zealand possum yarn blends are prized for their warmth, softness, and performance alongside merino, silk, cashmere, alpaca, all thoughtfully sourced fibres for knitting, crochet, and weaving

Staff knits
What’s on Cher’s needles at the moment ?
Halfway through the Wrapped Up in Cables sweater-scarf by (Chantal Miyagishima) and we’re in love with these teal twists 💙
Knit in Malabrigo Rios soft, squishy, and rich in colour.
It’s the perfect project for when you can’t decide between a sweater or a hug!
