A new chapter for Whirihia begins 💫

We’re proud to officially introduce Kākahu Design as a new addition to our services.

With experience in regional competitions and Polyfest costuming, we create handcrafted kākahu and feather pieces using traditional whatu and tāniko techniques combined with modern materials.

From leader kākahu to full group feather packages, every piece is made with care, creativity, and aroha ❤️

I've been working hard in the background, fine tunning my craft.
Over the last 3 years I have worked really hard on a few different kaupapa and have had a chance to learn off some amazing kaiwhatu.

So I wanted to share some of my Mahi.
From 21st kahu to the Polyfest stage.

Branching out can be scary so be kind and if your interested in a custom kahu whatu (made using traditional techniques but using modern materials not traditional fibers)

Get your putiputi here this festive season. Great for Graduations, teacher gifts, for clients as a thank you.
Harakeke putiputi will last year's.

All bouquet are made to order and can be fulfilled within a few days.

All of our bouquets come with two customisable colored wraps and one color of ribbon of your choice.
Adding dyed putiputi can be done at a extra charge depending on numbers.

Singles wrapped - $3 min 10 order.
Bunch of 3 - $6 min 10 order
Bunch of 6 - $12 min 5 order
Dozen bunch - $20
24 bunch - $40

Anything over this amount can be discussed via messenger.
