The same gravure press machine you're seeing here has been in operation since the 1960s, still printing wallpaper today.

Our owner Neil has been working on these machines since he was 16 years old. After more than 45 years as an employee, he and Tanya purchased the company in 2020 after lockdown, refounding Aspiring Walls as a family ousiness.

Now all four sisters are involved in the company, alongside a team we genuinely consider family. Many of our staff have been here 10-30+ years, helping keep this craft alive.

Today, that legacy means something pretty special as Aspiring Walls is now the only wallpaper manufacturer in New Zealand, and the entire Southern Hemisphere.
