We have some important news regarding Art Frames that many of you may be curious about.

Art Frames has been recently sold, and the new owners will take over on November 5th.

It has been an incredible experience operating both Art Frames and our main branch, Van Uffelen Gallery, in Palmerston North.

Moving forward, our primary focus will return to our Palmerston North branch, Van Uffelen Gallery & Picture Framing, where we will continue to provide clients with beautiful bespoke custom framing and our services.

Our Story

Bespoke picture framing from a dedicated small team.

We help you tell your stories.

Art Frames is a specialist customer picture framer based at Porirua. We have clients all over the Wellington region and as far away as Hawkes Bay.

All frames are made by hand in our workshop. Each frame is a one-off.

We design framing solutions with clients in our intimate showroom. We have one of the largest ranges of frame samples. The design process is collaborative and interactive. We look for frames that will enhance your precious things. Don't always expect the obvious; we love suggesting things that will surprise you.

We use only wooden and aluminium framing. Framing materials are mainly imported, but there is also a core of New Zealand-grown and New Zealand-manufactured frames.

We have glass available to reduce reflection and light-based fading, to give your frames the extra things to make them special and to make them last. Full conservation framing is available and recommended when it seems desirable.

Art Frames employees qualified and experienced designers and technicians. We are proud to pay them properly, even retaining full pay during Level 4. Our framing is not the cheapest. That's not our gig. What we do is look after the things you love, finding ways for you to love them even more - and to help you tell their stories.
