Sandartnz Sandart is a fun, no mess, no fuss activity for kids. Sand Art is a fun activity for children. SandArt is for the whole family!

Children create cards by peeling off waxy paper and adding coloured sand.We also sell gift packs and large Party kits. It can be used to liven up a birthday party, keep kids busy and engaged for ages! They just love taking their creations home after a birthday function or market/ festival.

One of the SandArt parties I did over the weekend: Take a look at the finer details of the SandArt cards - pretty good ;-). The cobras colours are super; different to the usual colours, making the snake look majestic! Attention to details 👏, well done!

So... Here in NZ, we are at Level 3. I'm still working online, with my students. Here's an Art challenge for you.

Art Task 5:
Textures – adding to shapes eg. landscape scene

She draws a house, watch how she fills it in with textures.

Task: Drawing the landscape scene:
4 colours only + Black Sharpie

Equipment:
Plain white paper A4
1x Pencil
Eraser
Black Sharpie
4 coloured pencils. (No felts or pastels or crayons)

Method:
Using a pencil, follow and draw the landscape scene.
Follow the boxes 1 to 6.
Now go over the pencil lines, using a black Sharpie.

You may choose your own textures, but make sure the textures are not too big in size.
Now start using your coloured pencils to draw the textures.

When you are done; glue this into your Art journal, or glue it onto a large, darker piece of paper ( eg. Black)
Take a photo and put it onto our SandArtNZ page.

Some more crafty ideas for you:
Making a Miniature garden:

1. Find a base for garden (plant pot, tray, tin - anything around home that you can put soil in and build a garden)
2. Place small rocks at bottom, then add soil. Now start decorating by adding as many plants, rocks, shells, characters as you like.

HI There all you SandArtists! Hopefully you are all well and staying in lockdown. Unfortunately we are not an essential service - according to the Government ;-(. So so sorry about this, but the couriers will not pick up non-essential packages from us, so we can't deliver to you. I am putting up art / craft ideas for you to keep yourselves and your children entrtained. Stay safe, everyone, Kia kaha! The sun will come out soon.
