A quiet pause from the colour-drenched master bedroom.

The ensuite was conceived as a more restrained, spa-like retreat — layered in cream tones and soft texture. A Snelling caramel glass wall light introduces a gentle glow, while the custom coloured “Pavlova” concrete vanity and mirror cabinet, designed by me, anchor the space with a subtle sculptural presence.

The palette provides calm while quietly echoing the warmth of the adjoining bedroom, creating a considered transition between the two spaces.

A home should feel unmistakably personal.

Our home features layers of warm timber and paint colours, collected objects and rich textiles, creating an eclectic interior that reflects the people who live within it.

The Malibu handle by Black Sand Bronze offers a quietly sculptural welcome at the door — a subtle nod to our love of the ocean, even while living beneath the peaks of the The Remarkables.

Our home

Set beneath the dramatic rise of the Remarkables, the house was designed in collaboration with and built by Jon — a sanctuary grounded in its landscape and shaped around the way we live.

Our dining nook at home.

A built-in corner banquette makes efficient use of the room, set against a softly textured plaster wall with ceramic lights, art pieces in themselves. A huge linen pendant brings intimacy and scale to the seating area which is set against the tallest space in the house, almost 5m high.

A STO plaster feature wall by forms the backdrop, paired with ceramic wall lights that bring sculptural interest and warmth to the space. The banquette base was built by Jon and clad in leftover Forte flooring, with layered toasty tones through squabs and cushions. The Escea fireplace sits on a custom concrete plinth that Jon also made.
