I enjoyed using the batting by The warm company, an 80/20 mix of cotton/polyester. It is a needle punched batting, it stayed relatively flat when quilting through my home machine.
I was inspired by Quilts on utube to quilt using my domestic sewing machine, using simple designs and a walking foot.
I used a pink quilting cotton to complement the fabric.

Bees in the garden. Very simply quilted. Ready for binding. I used up some extra patterned fabric on the back. Joined some batting and backing to complete. The bee fabric is lovely between the florals, hence the name. I have several bee prints on the shelf. They do look great with florals.

Working on this quilt today. I began this quilt using an old pattern I had, I must have read the pattern wrong and ended up cutting out the pieces to the wrong measurements, then sewed it up wrong and now have a completely different design, similar but different! I had to rethink it a bit once I realized. I had a lot of extra pieces!!! I have named it bees in the garden. Sandwiching it ready for quilting on the weekend.
