I love seeing the beautiful intricate work I see you come into my store with. You should see how many of those knits are on my Wishlist! Right now - for me, the only knitting I can do is simple, fast and easy. Because it’s my unwind after 12 hour or more days. I celebrate encouraging anyone who knits and crochets. If you have the time and headspace for the more complex - then yes yes yes. If you have a life like mine, or skills that are not there yet and need more simpler knits - then yes yes yes. If you have a neurotypical brain and need to follow the rules - yes yes yes If you are Neuro diverse ( like me) and love to play with a pattern - yes yes yes. Let’s celebrate all who knit. And celebrate all the moments we get to do it - whether it’s grabbed spaces, or long stretches of time in peace and quiet.

You know what sucks? Rural postage costs! I get it -we pay them too unless I can wing sending it to a non rural address. It costs more, it takes longer to get to us, the tracking often stops at the post office… arrgh. We don’t make money on your postage - in fact rural post often costs far more than what you paid.. if you don’t pay it and it’s a rural address we will send you a request to pay the $5 top up..or give us a non rural address. We aren’t creaming it.. we’re just trying to recoup the actual cost. I hope you understand.

Blocking your knits can really transform them from a lovely knit to an exceptional one. They relax the fibres and allow the yarn to work with your knitting - not against it.

While my creative hands are itching to get into more complex projects, knitting for me at the moment is finding really simple ways to unwind while I still explore and experiment. This time is for a season… and meanwhile - by the time I’ve developed this pattern I’ll have many vests in many different looks and styles! ( ha)
