Kia ora, Iโm Jayden, the heart and hands behind InโOโScent, and this is a bit about me and why I started making candles.

I am 21 years old, born in Whangarei, and raised by my extremely loving, supportive and patient whanau. Moved out of home and became a mama at 16 and have a beautiful soon to be 5 year old, and have since moved back home to my whanau where I belong ๐ I absolutely LOVE music and am too much of a foodie ๐ I dabble in song writing and photography but I'll keep those as hobbies.
I began making candles during a time when life felt loud, heavy, and overwhelming. I was searching for something small that could bring comfort, a moment of calm, a soft light at the end of the day, a way to slow my breathing and be present again.
What started as a simple act of self-care soon became a ritual. Pouring wax, choosing scents, and lighting a candle became a way to create peace not just in my space, but within myself. Candles reminded me to pause, to soften, and to show myself the same love I so easily gave to others.
InโOโScent was created from that place; with the intention of sharing peace, love, and warmth with others. Each candle is hand-poured with aroha, designed to support quiet moments, self-reflection, and connection, whether youโre lighting it for yourself or gifting it to someone you care about.
From my kฤinga to yours, these candles are a gentle reminder to slow down, be present, and enjoy every moment of life.
