It feels like all we’ve been doing lately is eating cake. 🎂

Two Ecovask team birthdays, my niece turned 16, and now we're well and truly into 21st birthday preparations in our house. It's definitely birthday season!

I never thought I’d say this, but putting out fresh, pretty dishcloths and kitchen towels for the occasion was strangely satisfying. 😂

Pretty and useful. Just how we like things around here. 🤍

So that’s a wrap on trade shows for us for 2026!

Between Sydney, Christchurch, Melbourne and Auckland (x2) over the past 6 months, I think we’re all ready for a little break from unpacking and repacking suitcases and displays for a few months 😅

I meant to share this lovely feature from Gift Fair NZ but things have been pretty busy this past few weeks!

It tells a little of the Ecovask story - how something that started with a dishcloth has grown into a brand that now sits on the shelves of hundreds of beautiful stores across New Zealand and Australia.

And after spending the past few months talking to so many of our retailers face to face, I’m reminded again just how much those relationships mean to us.

And to those of you who buy Ecovask and tell your friends about your favourite dishcloth 😂, we appreciate you more than you know.

Yesterday I needed a tea towel in the office, so I grabbed a brand new Ecovask one straight off the shelf.

No pre-wash. Nothing.

And OMG. I’d forgotten just how good these are. 😂

You genuinely wouldn’t have known it had never been washed.
Soft, beautifully absorbent and actually dries the dishes - because apparently that’s something we need to specify when talking about tea towels!

I've sat on this one for a few days. ❤️

I've been shortlisted for the She Owns It Award at the NZ Small Business Awards – and I've realised I've found this one surprisingly difficult to share.

While I'm comfortable celebrating Ecovask. Our products. Our team. Our milestones, celebrating myself as the founder? That feels a whole lot harder.

But looking back at the journey from selling dishcloths at markets to where we are today, I can acknowledge the grit, determination, resilience and heart it's taken to get here.

And none of it has been mine alone.

The She Owns It community was an incredible source of inspiration and support in those early years. It connected me with specialists, other women navigating the same challenges, and some of the women who have become my closest business friends.

Now it feels pretty special to be reaching a point where, while we're still learning and growing, I can start giving some of that support back.

Very proud to be shortlisted – and incredibly grateful for all the women who've been part of the journey. ❤️

Too good to wait.

The first colours have landed... We could have waited for the full collection.

Have you tried dish paste?

While it’s used in other parts of the world, it’s still a relatively new concept in Kiwi kitchens. And when we were introduced to Aroa, a new NZ business creating their own locally made dish paste, we knew it was something we wanted to support.

Simply wet your dish brush, swirl it over the paste and get washing. Then rinse your dishes in clean, unsoapy water. No sink full of suds, and no soapy residue left behind.
