Hey guys, Mandy here..
Sorry for the delay in updates.. you must all be wondering what's going on and where we went.
Unfortunately we've had to make the hard decision to shut down the food truck (for now) mainly because Im struggling to do it all on my own.
As some of you will know, Morgans got a work contract over in Tenerife (Canary islands) which means he is away more than he is home.
You may have also noticed our spot on Miro St was sold and turned back into a car yard so we had to move on from there and that happened at exactly the point that we were discussing whether to carry on or not anyway.. so 🤷🏼♀️ it all happens for a reason eh?
We are a small family owned business, we have no employees or team, and the truck was never opened to be our main souce of income or career, but just as a way of sharing our love of good bbq and to subsidize the bbq competitions.. but even comp life has come screeching to a halt as my team mate isn't here..
So between being a mum, running the household and the business and eveything else all by myself, I also have several chronic illnesses that have slowly over the past couple years been getting worse.. I am no longer physically able to carry on running the truck on my own.
I just wanted to thank our biggest supporters and our dear regulars! I really loved getting to know you all and serving you delicious barbecue! And of course the fun events and catering gigs we got to be a part of were truly some of our families best times!
So much fun, learning, and hard work went into our food truck journey and I dont feel like this is the END end.. but for now I have to concentrate on my health and the wellbeing of our whole family..
So this isn't goodbye.. we are still here, we will still be active on socials, we will still sell rubs, charcoal & smoking wood, and we are still running our yearly BBQ Competition event- BBQ Mania..
Thank you all again for your support and understanding!
Don't be strangers!..
Peace out (for now)
🥹😊🤘🏼❤️🔥
