Sometimes as you are working through a pattern, you find yourself wondering how it is all going to come together. I have learnt over the years to trust the process and not read too far ahead in a pattern or it can become confusing. This little flecked jumper has been sold but because it’s the first time I’ve knitted this yarn, I wanted to show you how nice it turned out. It’s so light! I will be knitting more of these as I have lots of colours, but next up is a pink vest for a 2 year old. I am using organic merino (Lammermoor) so I already know it’s going to be lovely 🌸

I’ve been looking for a pattern for little socks and I’ve found one and I just love them. They are actually knitted in 8 ply so they are thicker than your average socks. I’ll be knitting more in different colours so watch out for these. These are a gift for a 6 year old little girl 🌸🤍

I love knitting socks but they can take such a long time. If I focused on just socks, I think I could knit a pair in a week 🧦🧦 This pattern is called ‘Sunday Socks’ and I used 4ply double stranded so they grew quite fast. I love this colour and I guess I’ll wear them on Sundays 💚

Today I received some new yarn - Rowan Felted Tweed 🤍 it’s a blend of Alpaca, merino and a small percentage of viscose. I wasn’t sure what viscose is but Google tells me it is a semi-synthetic material usually extracted from wood pulp which is light and breathable. These balls of yarn are incredibly light so I’m looking forward to knitting it up - I have chosen turquoise for a little jumper to begin with 🩵

For sale this long weekend is a gorgeous cowl knitted in a blend of alpaca and fine Peruvian highland wool. It’s the most beautiful shade of red and has some lovely textures which make it thick and lush ♥️ I love cowls as you just plop them over your head and scrunch it around your neck. My next little jumper is well underway. This time I am using 10ply Fine Highland wool which is made in Peru - the colour is Wild Thyme and is one of my favourite yarns to knit for winter. This is being knitted to fit 2-3 years 🤍
