DURITKA IN CLAY by Quirky Pottery

A “duritka” is a legendary, nearly indestructible glass tumbler that became a staple of everyday life in Czechoslovakia throughout the 20th century. First manufactured in 1914, these ribbed glasses were famous for their extreme resistance to mechanical impact and thermal shock. They were ubiquitous in households, school cafeterias, military barracks, and pubs across the Eastern Bloc.
