Finished assembly on the Sesame Street crew, designed by the very clever Fat Lady Crochet. So much fun seeing them come ‘to life’.
Also made a couple of toys designed by Crochet with Jess Huff. The bee was an adaptation of three of her patterns, and the dog was my first time using one of her patterns with an open mouth. I then jumped on current trend of adding an AI background for them.
So appreciative of these designers talents!

All through the year, 2025, I kept a record of the daily high temperatures. I made Sssslithering Sssstanley recording those temperatures. Each stripe on Sssstanley represents the different temperatures. He measures over six foot long. A fun project to make.

Two gifts gifted this week. The beautiful Cozy Mosaic Cuddles blanket designed by BebaBlanket, was an absolute joy to make, and gnome in mankini by Fat Lady Crochet. He has brought many funny comments, and been well received as a birthday gift.

Another beautiful realistic pattern. I was lucky enough to test for CrazyCrochetCatlady. I loved seeing the koala develop, and once he had his face, he became so life like! I chose charcoal and sage, to represent the eucalyptus trees.
One time, at Magnetic Island, we saw koala up close like this just along the walking track. Was quite special. 😍

Stop Bugging Me is the latest test blanket I can show you from the wonderful designer Anke . I chose almond and black to allow each wee bug to standout. Think the grasshoppers are my fav! Such a fun blanket to make. 1x1.4m

Two recent commissions. Interestingly, both requested a fox. Foxy Lady and Missy Fox were made using a pattern from Animal Friends of Pica Pau. One has been sent to Taranaki and one will be heading to the UK. 🙂

Happy New Year to you all. This time of year is often a time to reflect and also to set new goals, so in that spirit I see my Ravelry page tells me in this last year I have made 16 blankets, using almost 61km of yarn! 😳😂😂
I’m wondering if I can better that amount next year?
(This figure does not include the many toys I have also made, nor take into account the time I was travelling overseas).

So proud to show the latest blanket I was selected to test for Anke from CrazyCrochetCatlady. This is Rebel, the German Shepherd. He was enjoyable to make, a lovely straightforward pattern to follow. I chose latte and almond as my two colours. It is a great throw size for a double or queen bed, or on a single bed it would drape over. 🤎🤎🤎

Whilst on a recent cruise I took enough yarn to make a few toys, or amigurumi. Each of these are from the books Animal Friends of Pica Pau, vol 1-3. Mr sloth needs a pompom on his beanie and nails on his feet, but I’m so happy with how they each turned out, I can’t pick a favourite! It’s a nice to have these to remember the cruise and the crafting ladies I met and made friends with. I cannot recommend these books enough, having made several of the animals.

Northern Viking Compass blanket designed by . This beautiful design symbolises navigating life’s storms, with many of the symbols meaning strength, courage, good health etc. I made this blanket for our good friend’s 80th birthday, in colours Laguna and Cream. I’m delighted with the blanket, and more so because the recipient loved it too. 🩵💙

This new blanket, is one of my favourite makes of this year! Rhapsody designed by CrazyCrochetCatlady. The pattern is available in several sizes, this one queen bed sized. I made this for my close friend Robyn’s birthday gift. Colours BreakfastBlu and Almond. I really enjoyed the geometric pattern, and absolutely love the finished blanket. 🩵

This wee kiwi fellow is about to fly….off to Dubai for an eagerly awaited soon to be born baby. Pattern by Mevvsan. Very well written, fun to make and to add my embellishments. 🤎💚🤎
