My first job reference: I was feeling overwhelmed thinking I had WAAYYYY too much stuff to fit in this little house. When I would start to sort I would stall, finding it hard to make the decision to part with anything yet also unable to find a place for it.
Now when I look at things, I'm amazed that I don't feel like I got rid of much, but what is left seems reasonable and manageable. I can't believe it's the same stuff!
I like Bridget's philosophy that I would know if I wanted to get rid of something and she didn't push me to part with things at all--instead we created spaces and places for things. And not packed in, hard to find things spaces; but truly organised, spacious spaces.
I'm enjoying walking around the house marveling at the beauty of the organised spaces, feeling content that there is room for everything and things easily fit in their place.
We worked mostly on the kitchen, bathroom, master bedroom and garage. 7.5 hrs. Phew!
The organisation, control and beauty I feel in my home is priceless.
Bridget had a happy, positive, adaptable approach, very light and non-judgmental. She easily breezed through the house and the day, not wasting a minute.
Bridget filled in the gaps of my own organisation methods; there was no huge re-organisation for me to adapt to.
