People who wander into our shop often wonder who we are - we have an eclectic style that is outside the norm 😊.
Imaginings - Pōhewa opened two years ago, as a project by Turning Point Trust. We wanted to know if it would be sustainable to operate a not for profit shop that provides opportunities for our members to volunteer and gain retail skills in a fun, low-stress environment, and if we could sell arts and crafts on behalf of our creative members. The answer has been a resounding yes! We've learned and grown, and are super proud of our wee shop and the community it represents. And this week Turning Point is Turning 30! If you're in the village this week, pop in to say hi and be part of our journey towards the next 30 years of wellbeing, creativity, and success 🥳🎉

Tuesdays are our clothing restock day! This week we're loving some lighter clothing, vintage and gorgeous colourful Augustine. We have a good range of sizes in store, and our pre-loved clothing is priced simply and an absolute bargain: shirts & tops @ $5, pants & skirts @ 5, dresses @ $15, jackets @ $10. Come check us out in the Historic Village by the rainbow road - Tuesday -Saturday, 10-3 🌈☀️

New stock Monday 💖. This week we have an amazing new book - a collection of children's stories by local authors. And a way to ward off the winter chill for your best friend - gorgeous hand-stitched small dog jackets, as modeled by our resident white ball of fluff Sadie 🦴

Who are we? We're the social enterprise shop that represents Turning Point Trust - the second largest tenant in the Historic Village. We've been here for nearly 30 years, but Imaginings-Pōhewa is our infant, at 2 years old! We love being part of the village, and know if you come to visit you'll love it too!

We love our job 💖 - every week we get to leave our desks to sort through some amazing pre-loved clothing. We find the treasures and pop them in our village shop 😍. This week we have struck the jackpot - vintage, quirky, labels, you name it we found it! We had to photograph a few of our findings, but there were so many more... Come check it out for yourself, and support Turning Point, a mental health, addiction, and disability service by shopping local!
