Just finished pruning back the grape in between showers. Yep it’s winter and who is thinking about gardening. But it’s time to do the ground work including pruning and also looking at your wire structures. We will be at the Tauranga Home Show 5th 6th and 7th May at our usual spot right outside the main tent entrance.

Now's a great time to start planning your next espalier project. Mid winter is a when you should plant apples and our Espalar Universal kit with wire gives you everything you will need. It is surprising how quickly the tree will grow its laterals and here are a few photos of my apple tree planted June 2022.
