Headbands, handmade with care 🌿🦙

Simply beautiful alpaca fibre, hand crafted here on our lifestyle property into soft, warm and lightweight clothing and accessories.

Today we’d love to introduce you to our alpaca headband range. With a variety of sizes and styles, they’re perfect for keeping your ears warm in winter or adding a little extra comfort and style any time of the year.

Find us at Thames Market every Saturday, where we’ll be set up until 12:30pm. Our studio is also open Sundays from 10am. We are located 5ks north of Te Aroha and can be found using Google Maps.

Come and meet our three friendly alpacas, see where the magic happens and learn about the traditional practices we use to transform fibre into something truly special.

Sometimes the best thing to do when winter bugs are making the rounds is to slow down and look after ourselves. ❤️
Because of this, we won't be at the Thames Market today (Saturday).
Instead, we'd love to welcome you to our little country studio on Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Nestled amongst the farmland just 5 km north of Te Aroha on the way to Paeroa, Alpacca Artistry is a place to slow down, browse our handcrafted 100% alpaca creations, and see how beautiful natural fibre is transformed from fleece into timeless clothing and accessories.
And of course, our three cheeky alpacas—Havana, Kalani and Lola—will be waiting to say hello and are always happy to meet new visitors!

Nestled amongst the rolling farmland just 5 km north of Te Aroha, Alpacca Artistry is more than a studio – it's an experience. 🌿🦙

Here, traditional fibre arts are kept alive through time-honoured techniques, transforming raw alpaca fleece into beautiful, handcrafted 100% alpaca clothing and accessories. Every beanie, scarf, shawl, headband and one-of-a-kind garment is lovingly created by two dedicated souls who aren't afraid to experiment, blend colours, and let creativity lead the way. The result is a collection of timeless, thoughtfully designed pieces that are as unique as the people who wear them.

Our three cheeky alpacas – Havana, Lola and Kalani – have settled in beautifully and are always happy to greet visitors. Spend some time with them, explore our cosy rural studio, and discover the fascinating journey from raw fleece to finished garment. We'll happily show you the traditional processes of hand processing, spinning, felting and creating the pieces you'll find in our studio.

Whether you're looking for something truly special to wear or simply want to enjoy a peaceful country outing, we'd love to welcome you.

Did you know alpaca fibre is naturally hollow? That means it is incredibly lightweight while providing excellent warmth. It is also beautifully soft, breathable, and dries quickly, making it perfect for New Zealand's climate.
At Alpacca Artistry, we are passionate about creating handcrafted felted and crocheted alpaca clothing and accessories. From fleece to finished garment, we carefully process our own alpaca fleeces by hand and spin them into yarn. Every felted garment is a one-of-a-kind design, lovingly handcrafted and impossible to duplicate.
