As we look back on a few of our favourites this week 💐🌸 I’m especially grateful for our team.

For showing up, doing an awesome job, making beautiful flowers and, most importantly, taking really good care of our customers.

Because of them, Mike and I have been able to step away and have the weekend off to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary — weekends off don’t happen very often for us.

So there’s something pretty special about being able to have some days away knowing the shop, the flowers and our customers are in such capable and caring hands.

Very grateful for the people who make Flowers on Pollen what it is. 🌸 and for the incredible community who support us.

Father’s Day is tomorrow! 💙

Still looking for the perfect little something for Dad? Our team has rounded up some of their favourites — from sweet treats and plants to plenty of other goodies in store.

And don’t rule out flowers! 💐 Dads love receiving them too (and we think they deserve a bunch just as much as anyone 😉).

We’re in store today from 9–2, so pop in and let us help you find something he’ll love.

And for the very last-minute Father’s Day crowd 😅 we’ll have a selection of grab & go flowers and plants at Pak’nSave tomorrow from 8am–8pm. 💙

A little update 🌸

After a lovely few winter months supplying fresh Flowers on Pollen blooms at Four Square Ngatea, our time on the flower stand there has come to an end.

A huge thank you to everyone who picked up one of our bunches, arrangements or posies while doing the groceries — we’ve absolutely loved seeing our flowers heading into homes across the Plains. 🤍

Flowers on Pollen do have same day delivery, to Ngatea ☺️order online, or give us a call 🌸

Our Daffodil Day campaign is officially wrapped up and this morning we made our donation of $1,137 to the Cancer Society — smashing our original $1,000 goal!

We’ve asked for our donation to support the Waikato Bay of Plenty region, helping provide care and practical support for people and families affected by cancer, as well as supporting cancer research and prevention programmes.

From every bunch picked up in store, at Pak’nSave Thames and Four Square Ngatea — thank you.

You bought the daffodils, we donated every dollar of revenue, and together we turned a whole lot of little yellow spring sunshine into $1,137 for a really important cause. 🌼💛

🌼 TODAY IS DAFFODIL DAY! 🌼

You lovely lot have done it again. 💛

We’re now at $822.50 of our $1,000 Daffodil Day goal — which means we need just $177.50 more to reach our original target.

And what better day to try than Daffodil Day itself?

A little stock update: we’re running pretty low on daffodils in the shop this morning (thank you!), BUT I may have got a tiny bit carried away at the flower market this morning… 😂🌼

Another 250 fresh daffodil stems are now on their way to Thames and will be arriving in store and at Pak’nSave around lunchtime today!

So if you pop in this morning, numbers are limited — but reinforcements are coming. 🌼🌼🌼

Every dollar of revenue from the daffodils we sell during our campaign is being donated to the Cancer Society.

$177.50 to go. Can we get to $1,000 today? 💛

Grab a bunch for yourself, your desk, your mum, your neighbour, your favourite human — or simply because it’s Daffodil Day and together we can do something pretty wonderful.

We’ll keep going through until Monday, or until you buy us out of daffodils.

Let’s see just how far we can take this. 🌼💛

A little more heartbroken about this one than I expected. 💔

For this working-class, five-foot blonde Dolly has provided the soundtrack — and more than a few anthems — for different ages and stages of my life.

Big hair, bigger dreams, a wicked sense of humour, an extraordinary work ethic and absolutely no need to make herself smaller for anybody.

Thank you, Dolly. For the music, the grit, the kindness, and for showing generations of women that you could be soft, feminine, funny, smart as hell and a force to be reckoned with — all at once.

Tomorrow morning, I’ll be working 9 to 5 a little louder than usual. 🤍

Two weeks down and you’ve helped us raise $527.50 towards our $1,000 Daffodil Day goal!

Which means we have one week left to see if we can get that progress bar all the way to our $1,000 fundraising goal. 🌼

Every dollar of revenue from the daffodils we sell during our campaign is being donated to the Cancer Society — so if you’ve been thinking about grabbing a bunch, this is the week to do it.

🌼 Week one got us to $219! 🌼

One week into our three-week Daffodil Day campaign and you’ve already helped us raise $219 towards our $1,000 fundraising goal for the Cancer Society. 💛

That means we’ve got $781 to go — and two weeks to do it!

Every dollar of revenue from the daffodils we sell during the campaign is being donated to the Cancer Society, so if you’ve been meaning to brighten up the kitchen bench, take a bunch to a friend, or simply want to support a brilliant cause — this is your excuse to buy the daffodils. 🌼

Help us get that progress bar moving — our next stop is $500! 💛
