I absolutely loved bringing this apartment together.

While it's a compact space, it truly lives large and it was such a pleasure to add those all important finishing touches. From selecting the window treatments to curating the furniture and bedding, every element was chosen to create a space that feels effortless, comfortable and ready to enjoy.

There's something really special about walking into a home where everything is done for you - especially for a secondary residence. That's exactly what I aim to create for my clients.

Hi, I'm Ineke - founder and designer of Petronella's Interior Design, creating calm, detail driven interiors that balance softness with quiet confidence.

I'm here to help with your build or renovation projects as well as smaller interior refreshes from curtains and blinds to thoughtfully considered interior and exterior colour schemes.

This year marks my 8th year in business and my focus remains firmly on quality from concept to completion, with a client focused approach that values clarity, collaboration and considered decision making throughout the process.

Petronella's Interior Design is a 'by appointment only' studio, allowing me to respect my clients busy schedules and ensures every consultation is personal, focused and uninterrupted.

✨We are back on deck for the new year and your new spaces ✨🏠

But before we dive into what's ahead in 2026, we couldn't start the year without sharing a few snippets from a project completed just before Christmas.

This featured home is a newly built residence in Timaru and working alongside these clients was an absolute delight. Decisive, detail focused and willing to gently push beyond their own comfort zones - always trusting me and the process.

The result? A new home house that truly feels like a home, beautifully reflecting the people who live there.

Final photography is coming soon and I can't wait to share more on this home filled with warmth, heart and soul.

I have loved being involved in this project and working with the team at NB Architects to give this beautiful old building a much needed update and recreating it to be an iconic building in central timaru for generations to come.

This home has been an absolute dream to bring to life - every colour, tile, fabric and finish carefully considered. From flooring and lighting to curtains, blinds, wallpaper, custom furniture, upholstery and cushions.....every detailed mattered.

A huge thank you to my wonderful clients for trusting me with their new build journey. It's been a magical project from start to finish.
