Today I had the pleasure of attending a sourdough class in Makarewa with Red Dog Ranch Cooking School. So great to see something like this here in Southland—definitely worth checking out what they have on offer!
Janice is absolutely lovely, the location is beautiful, and you leave with some very yummy goodies. Such a fantastic day out!

After attending a wire workshop with Lee Van Der Geest a few years ago, I felt inspired to revisit the technique and have a play of my own.

As lots of you know, I do love making garden art, so this felt like the perfect project.

I purchased some frames and repurposed them into these wire rabbits—each one with its own character. It’s amazing how changing the finish can create a completely different look… from soft and rustic to more natural and textured.

They won’t be for everyone, but they’ll be absolutely perfect in my garden.

I love how creative techniques can spark new ideas and take you in unexpected directions 🐇✨

My mother-in-law, Dorothy, and I put this casket spray together for Liz, using greenery from her property, home-grown flowers, and a few extra blooms. It was lovely to include flowers and foliage from a place she loved. 🌸

Each bouquet features a lovely mix of seasonal flowers in a variety of colours, beautifully wrapped and ready to enjoy or gift.

I’m so lucky to be part of such a wonderful art group. I love hanging out with like-minded arty friends who are always scheming their next creative project.

Last night we got together and made bouquets using the spiral stem technique. It sounds easy… but as discovered, practice really does make perfect!

And look at that beautiful cake to match our floral theme!
