Want to try something a little different?

Ever thought about melting glass with actual fire? 🔥

Sounds a bit wild… but it’s honestly one of the most addictive, satisfying crafts you can learn.

Lampwork (or flamework) is all about melting colourful glass rods in a torch flame and shaping them into beads, tiny sculptures, and wearable art. You get to play with fire, watch the glass glow, and turn it into something completely your own.

It’s creative, a little bit magical, and way more fun than you’d expect.

So… ready to give it a go and see what you can make?

Lovely feedback from my first student!

Wow! What a fantastic course. Debs is an outstanding tutor, gently guiding whenever necessary without being pushy, and praising even when I thought things were going horribly awry! My child is a cancer kid and collected over 1400 glass beads. While I’d always admired the beads I never really thought much about the process of making them. And it is very cool! Manipulating a solid into a flowing liquid that you can mould and shape with a few simple
tricks is incredibly satisfying.

Safety was top-notch and Deb’s reiterated the importance of this throughout the course. She also was able to read the process really well, seeing that I needed to break my intense concentration before I even realised. Three hours went by very fast!

I was thrilled to come away with 6 beads (mostly actually round) in the kiln and love that Debs’ studio will be available to hire if I want to play with glass again.

5 stars! Will most definitely be back for more.

EDIT: Have since received my annealed beads, presented in a cute little box. Not too bad for a complete beginner!
