✨ From Scout Hall to stunning home. ✨

We recently had the pleasure of installing double-track curtains in this incredible conversion of an old Scout Hall in Ōakura, New Plymouth—and what a transformation!

The homeowners wanted to create a warmer, cosier feel while adding privacy to the open space, and Nettex Vevey was the perfect fabric choice. Paired with elegant sheers and curtains on double tracks, the result is soft, inviting and effortlessly stylish.

To complete the look, we added 20mm of pooling on the floor, creating a relaxed, luxurious finish that perfectly complements the character of this unique home.
Every project is different, and we love finding window furnishing solutions that enhance both the personality of a space and the way it's lived in.

🤍 The result? A home that's warm, private and full of character.

🏡 Window furnishings designed for every room, and every purpose.

This stunning new build in Matapu, South Taranaki called for a tailored solution to suit the way the homeowners will live in each space, and the result is both practical and beautiful.

✨ Soluna sunscreen blinds to filter natural light while maintaining the view.
✨ Chainless blockout roller blinds for a sleek, modern finish.
✨ Double-track sheers with blockout linings to provide the flexibility of soft daylight or complete privacy.
✨ Chain-drive Roman blinds paired with sunscreen blinds underneath, offering privacy from the driveway without sacrificing natural light.
✨ Where there wasn't enough room to install roller blinds on the hallway stacker door, double tracks were the perfect alternative, delivering a clean, functional solution.
✨ Blockout roller blinds in the garage, which will double as a TV and rumpus room—ideal for creating the perfect space for movie nights and family time.

Every home presents its own challenges, and that's where custom-made window furnishings really shine. By selecting the right products for each space, we can create solutions that are as functional as they are stylish.

Thinking about furnishing your new build or renovation? We'd love to help you create a home that's comfortable, practical and beautifully finished. Did we mention free measure and quote?

✨Timeless style meets everyday comfort. ✨

These beautiful 100% linen, thermal-lined box pleat drapes were the perfect finishing touch for this stunning Art Deco home in Welbourn, New Plymouth.

Made from Sight by Zepel in the rich Truffle colour, they complement the home's warm timber detailing while adding softness and elegance to the space. The homeowner wanted to improve the warmth of the house without replacing the original single-glazed doors. Preserving the character and richness of the timber was important, so thermal-lined drapes provided the ideal solution, helping to reduce heat loss while enhancing the home's timeless charm.

A perfect example of how the right window furnishings can improve comfort, energy efficiency, and style, all while respecting the unique character of an older home. Beautiful fabrics. Thoughtful solutions. Made and installed by The Curtain Room - contact us for a free measure and quote!

Custom shutters were the perfect solution, providing excellent light control and privacy without hiding the home's original features. For the windows with varying sizes, we carefully matched the shutter panels to create a seamless, balanced look across the space. The result is elegant, functional, and perfectly tailored to the home.
