How to roll a coil from a block of clay. Squeeze your clay together alternating in both hands, aiming to form a sausage shape. Place on a flat surface and roll a coil long enough to wrap around your creation. Start with your fingers close together and then span your fingers as your move you hands apart to lengthen the coil and keep an even thickness. Repeat to make several coils. If your coil isn’t long enough don’t stress, you can join coils together easily as long as your clay is still nice and soft. If too long, simply cut and make multiple thinner coils!
