My name is Steph and I am a Professional Organiser. I am a busy Mum of two children so I know how easily a home can turn into a messy storage box for life’s excess! Less Mess offers a service that is completely NON JUDGEMENTAL! We all have different reasons for having the things we have. Together we will figure out the best way to live with or without it. Having someone help you through this process is much easier than doing it yourself, because inevitably you don’t get round to it! You can easily put it off and all of a sudden you are 5 years down the track and your house feels more like a storage unit than a relaxing home. Clutter can create stress in your home, your mind and your life but I am not here to throw away everything you have ever owned, or make your home look like an unlived in show home. I want to work with you to declutter and find more space, giving you more time and energy for the more important things in your life whilst creating a more relaxing environment. I can be as gentle or as tough as you need me to be. I think honesty is the best way forward – if you have contacted me then you are ready for some help. I hope everyone is doing ok in this roller coaster we call life at the moment 🙃

Because of this up and down nature of Covid and the added procedures and pressures it continues to put on people and businesses, I’ve decided to take a wee break from doing Less Mess full time, and I’m taking on a more stable contract.

I will still work with a few clients here and there, particularly my regular ones, but I won’t be taking on too many new clients at the moment.

Please feel free to continue sending me your questions or asking for advice. I’m still happy to virtually help where I can.

This may not be forever, but it is for now 😊

My daughter doesn’t muck around….school finished yesterday, and here is her pile of school uniform already outside her room in her ‘go’ pile, since she’s finished up there and off to college next year.

Don’t worry, I swiftly suggested she put it in the laundry rather than on the floor!

This kid gets anything out of her room that she doesn’t need, doesn’t like, doesn’t fit. Wonder where she gets that from 😆

Life with little kids 😂
Nothing is sacred. Even the members of the nativity set are subject to being kidnapped, hidden and jostled with fake food and random other bits.

We managed to find them and put them back in place. Who knows how long they’ll enjoy being home 🤔😆

Something a little different today. 3hrs booked with a regular client. Two were spent going through all the clothes of the 4 gorgeous kiddies, to streamline, cull, and help get on top of constant laundry.

I also took my sewing machine over so the last hour I hemmed curtains and sewed curtain tape onto blackout fabric so these kiddies have darker rooms to sleep in.

Here’s a few pics from a house blitz last week.

We did all these areas in a 5 hour session. Most of my clients say that they would have stopped well before we did, and always say they achieve far more than they would have done on their own.

Today was a big day in this gorgeous garden.

This shed had become a ‘for now’ space and was loaded with things that were set aside ‘for now’, at times when maybe life was a bit busy or stressful.

‘For now’ can often last a long time.

It has started its transformation into a peaceful, calm, relaxation garden room 💕 Complete with outdoor beanbags that couldn’t be reached before.

We sorted and relocated almost everything in there, with a few bits and pieces still to be done before it’s just how they want it.

Kmart for the win again. These look like the IKEA Trofast unit, and they’re great for kids toys! It clothes or linen or whatever you need extra storage for.

They’ll likely sell out fast but if they do, check the website daily they’ll likely be back in at some stage.

The silly season is coming! There is only 5 more weekends until Christmas! 😱

I’m currently booking out two weeks in advance, so if you feel like you need a hand to get your home ready for the influx of Christmas visitors or to sort the kitchen for the Christmas feast, I would suggest getting in touch with me asap 🤶🏻

Another wee area from a whole house makeover we’re working on. The outside chairs went back out on the deck to make life easier inside. (I suggested this client bits a cover for them so they can stay outside.)

Sometimes things may seem like common sense, but when you’re in the thick of the overwhelm, the easy stuff can seem really hard!

Clothes sorted and decluttered, towels halved, and linen sorted.

A much more manageable nook now 👖👚👗
