GLOBAL CASTING CALL – FEATURE FILM

Malo le Soifua!
We are excited to be casting for a new feature film from the creators behind The Orator and One Thousand Ropes. We are currently searching for lead roles: four Samoan female roles (ages 14–25) and one Samoan male role (ages 40–50).
Applications close Friday 19th December 2025, 5pm.
FEMALE ROLES
Samoan Female (19–25)
Dignified and adaptable, feminine and athletic — with a rebellious streak. Possesses a dark sense of humour.
Samoan Female (15–17)
Witty and sharp with words. Both introverted and extroverted, with a sensitive heart beneath a confident exterior.
Samoan Female (18–19)
Feminine with a friendly, open personality. A natural people-pleaser. A natural satirist.
Samoan Female (18–19)
Stoic on the outside, with a deeply caring nature. No-nonsense and grounded. Has a wicked repartee.
MALE ROLE
Samoan Male (40–50)
Forced into fatherhood. Hard to read, strategic, and quietly charismatic, with a subtle sense of humour. Enigmatic and compelling.
No acting experience required.

CASTING CALL FOR NZ TVC - WELLINGTON BASED

Auditions will take place this week, Wellington, limited spaces – Shoot dates - 12th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd April 2021.
If cast you will only be needed for one of the shoot dates TBC.

We are looking for a range of Wellington based people, no need to have had previous acting experience, as long as you are keen and have the right attitude – get in contact with us!

This is a paid opportunity.

If your family can make up the groups below, do put them forward. Auditions are simple scenarios; you may be given a short line to deliver.

Looking for:

Skateboarder kids x 2 – can be but don’t have to be siblings
Aged between 10-12 and 6-8 years

Husband and Wife - Aged 50-60 years

Girls Kapa Haka Group - Aged between 10-16 years
Kapa Haka Leader- Elder Wahine - Aged 60+ years

European and Pan Asian - Aged mid-30-40’s

Kava groups 5-6 people per group
Pasifika, Fijian, Tongan, Samoan - Aged from 20’s 60+

Māori, Te Reo speaker, elder woman and her moko
Aged: open within above context
