Have you seen the Before photo ? 😱
This project was very interesting, the customers trusted us with our vision to elevate their space, their home. The views on both sides are outstanding! But the kitchen in the room needed some attention and love 🥰
They didn’t know if they wanted to sell or stay a little longer. Budget was limited, so the benchtop was going to stay, I mean who wouldn’t keep that stunning and custom made concrete top anyway? So we understood the necessity. Unfortunately the benchtop was hidden between the unorganised kitchen, and the dated white kitchen.
We wanted to elevate it, and we choose to go dark, the benchtop has some green, brown and darker grey sparkle to it. It is gorgeous in the sun. By going darker, we have let the benchtop breathe and we can focus on the beautiful colours within it. The front yard garden is absolutely amazing a real oasis that the owners had created. By going for a black kitchen we helped them focusing on the outside views that the house has to offer. They can now, from the front yard see the amazing view through out the room with a clear view, avoiding any cluttered area or visual obstruction. By using darker tones, we created a tunnel vision that frames the splendid Northland like a postcard. We optimised and reused their original pantry by fitting their microwave inside, we added pullout drawers and created spaces for chopping boards and oven plates to be stored as well. All the spices they were using in the pantry, can now be stored right by the cooking station, by simply opening the drawer they need.
We added an integrated bin, by the sink, so they can access the bin and the dishwasher easily.
The sink unit has been replaced by two drawers slim and deep to allow for cleaning products, sponges etc and allowing them to fit the filter for the water right at the back of the cabinet.
We got rid of every single gap created by the previous kitchen, and fair to say, they absolutely love their new kitchen and so do we !
So much love for this project and we thought it was a good representation of today’s date. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone 💌
