SOMETHING NEW - Renovation Rise:
A weekly in-person group + WhatsApp space to support you through the emotional and practical side of renovating or building.
This is for anyone wanting more grounding, clarity, support and connection throughout the renovation journey — not just the design side.
I’ll bring the renovation/design guidance, while Nikita supports the nervous system, emotional processing and regulation side of things.
I’m currently renovating too, so this feels deeply supportive and personal for me as well.
We’re gathering this Monday at 1:30pm in the studio with a small group ready to take on the journey. I currently have space for one more person if this feels aligned 🤍
No cost as this is a 4 week trial !

I don’t want this to sound like a sales spiel — this comes from my heart.

Today I just want to honor my clients.

In a time where money feels heavier — where every dollar is earned, considered, and often stretched — they are still choosing to invest in their homes.

Not because it’s easy. Not because it’s indulgent. But because it matters to them.

And with that choice comes so much more than just a renovation.
There are the highs — the vision, the excitement, the possibility.
And then there are the harder parts — the decisions, the pressure, the unexpected turns.

Because when there isn’t absolute clarity, those small differences in expectations can quietly grow.
They show up as tension in meetings.
Stress around variations.
Late-night conversations that feel bigger than they should.

So today, I just want to acknowledge that.
The courage it takes to start.
The trust it takes to keep going.
And everything that sits in between.

I see it. And I don’t take it lightly.

✍️A huge part of my job is putting the options forward and allowing my clients the space to feel into each concept.

This part is easy,
We have a system where we allow them the time to sit with the idea and have done it for years.

🦾The Part I struggle with is when I have created the problem. It may be just a benchtop not coming out the colour of the sample.
I have to watch my client unwind back to what the expectation was in their head and they may feel disconnected as it’s a bump in the road. It helps if I have worked with them before because they know I will be with them every step of the way.
They will feel the change coming as I present them with solutions.

What I need to do NEXT is
look at the solution which I will share more….

A vulnerable share🩷
Last week, I set the basin taps at the wrong height, and the stone colour came through more yellow than expected.
These moments matter to me. I hold my work to a high standard, and when something doesn’t land quite right, I feel it.
What I’ve learned is this — it’s not about avoiding mistakes, it’s about how you respond.
For me, that looked like leaning in.
Reconnecting with my clients.
Listening carefully.
And taking action so they felt fully supported.
I organised changes, replaced the basins, and worked through options with them. Even when they were ready to move on, I stayed present and kept thinking about what would truly elevate the space.
Later, I called with a new idea — a different basin I knew would suit beautifully — and asked if I could share it with them.
Because for me, it’s never just about finishing a job.
It’s about getting it right.

Realising when someone doesn’t have the capacity can be tough—especially when I can already see their dream kitchen so clearly.
As a designer, I live on a creative high, but I also need quiet moments to come back to myself and really hear what my clients need. Behind the excitement, many are overwhelmed—investing big money, stepping into big change.
But no amount of money compares to the feeling of true connection. My job is to help them find that again through their space. Because as life shifts, it’s easy to feel disconnected—and a well-designed kitchen can bring you back home.
