Shining a light on a local superstar and her contributions to a cause close to Resene's heart!
Meet Lottie McIlwrick, a Year 5 student at Winton School who is making a big difference in our community.
Lottie's journey with collecting tabs for Kidney Kids began when she learned how something so small could help children facing serious health challenges. What started as a simple interest quickly grew into a passion.
Before long, Lottie had inspired others to get involved, and now members of our community regularly drop off bags of tabs for her collection efforts.
Next week, Lottie will be speaking at the Winton School assembly to raise awareness among her fellow students and encourage even more people to get involved. She is also setting up and managing a collection point in the school office, making it easier for students and families to contribute.
Lottie's dedication was recently recognised at the Southland Social Sciences Fair, where her project earned second place in the Community Service Section.
We're incredibly proud of Lottie's initiative, commitment, and the positive impact she's having. She is a wonderful example of how one person can inspire a whole community. 💚👏
