“All Art is a kind of confession more or less oblique. All artist, if they survive are forced, at last to tell the whole story.”
Painting is been part of my life since childhood, it was a whole world of imagination and curiosity, a very personal affair that let me express myself and let me go through the mundane daily life, comunícating ideas, statements, life experiences, and world vision, together with the enormous pleasure and satisfaction while engaging in the process of doing it . Also been fascinate and curious about the relation between what we see and what we know is never settled. Each evening we see the sun set. We know that the earth is turning away from it. Yet the knowledge, the explanation, never quite fits the sight.” Explained very well by John Berger. Same thing happens in mundane life and everyday life circumstances. Daily scenes and landscapes motivates me, together with my studies of south American ancient cultures; social and political subjects also influence my work together with personal experiences from trips in my country of origin Peru and this year specially with extensive exposure from media and news about the exploitation of natural resources in the Amazon jungle together with the devastation and the worldwide consequences that this activity is causing, have chosen this year a theme that delivers a warning message and reflection together with the wish of making things better four society and the world we live in, experimenting also with 3D work on the same subject.
