When you break someone's trust, it's on you to demonstrate that you can be trusted again!
It's NOT up to the person who's trust you betrayed to have to relearn how to trust.
YOU need to be accountable for breaking that trust!
YOU need to show them that you can be a safe space for them again.
You are not entitled to someone's trust!
Trust is earned.
It can be one of the hardest things to gain, but yet it's also one of the easiest to lose.
If someone tells you or gives you the impression that they don't trust you, it's because you've done something to betray their trust.
Breaking someone's trust over and over again and then expecting them to act like nothing ever happened is delusional on your part.
If you break someone's trust be accountable!
Don't blame them, don't look for excuses, and don't run away from the problem.
Stop being entitled and show them that you have some integrity by doing whatever it is you need to do to rebuild their trust in you that you broke.
Trust is a privilege, not an entitlement!
