Embutido is a Filipino dish that is traditionally served during Christmas, fiestas, and other special occasions.

It is a meatloaf made with ground pork and stuffed with hard-boiled eggs, sliced ham or various sausages, raisins, carrots, bread crumbs, and other vegetables.

It is usually wrapped in aluminum foil and steamed, though it can also be baked.

Despite the Spanish name, the dish is derived from the American meatloaf, and it evolved from a Spanish-style sausage made with Filipino ingredients during the American occupation of the Philippines from 1898 to 1946.

The dish has different variations, including pork, chicken, seafood, and beef embutido.

It is usually served hot or chilled and is often dipped in banana ketchup or some other type of sweet sauce..
