I am a macramé artisan and creative, passionate about crafting quality, handmade gifts that add a special beauty and meaning to people’s lives. I am a graphics artist and video editor at my current job,
where I spend a lot of time in designing, video editing, and branding. I was looking for another way to express my creativity and passion, and came across videos and tutorials for macramé online. Through watching other macramé artists continuously express their creativity through this craft, I too became inspired to really begin exploring this as an avenue of expression, and also to add beauty to other people’s lives through macramé. I have always been interested in creating handmade pieces through cross-stitch and macramé. Macramé, however, stood out to me as an interesting and satisfying craft. It is an art that inspires, and I am always excited to try new macramé pieces that I find on Pinterest and Instagram. There is no end to the kind of pieces you can make with macramé – it unleashes your creativity and imagination! I finally started IandKnots in 2021, after receiving multiple requests for macramé crafts after posting on social media. Despite some initial challenges (looking for a supplier, coming up with capital), this has blossomed into a thriving creative business that I am excited to share with the world.
