Celebrating the two most important women in our lives: Mama and my fabulous younger sister, Mitot, mommie of Atty. G.
Mitot is the perfect blend of beauty and brains, a successful banker, a local columnist, a loving mother to Ivan, and a dutiful daughter to Mrs. G. To me, she has always been the level-headed one, cool and composed. Dili dali maulit pero dili lang jud sulayan, her officemates and Ivan can certainly attest to that!
I’ll exercise restraint and save the horrible tales for when she turns a year older this October 21. For now, this is a tribute. Thank you, Mitot, for standing by me during my darkest days and silently reassuring me that a better day was coming. I am forever grateful. Love you!
Then there is Mama, or Mrs. G, the jewel of our family. Our world revolves around her. She is selfless and generous to a fault; I’ve seen her forgive time and again, even when others might not. She carried us for the first nine months of our lives, and in so many ways, she still carries us today.
The absolute highlight of my day is coming home to see her peeking through the window, saying, "Abri na Ta."
Ma, thank you for everything. I wouldn't be who I am today without you. Love you!
To Mama and Mitot, thank you for the sacrifices, the encouragement, the support, and most of all, for your unconditional love.
