Time truly heals. ❤️
A couple of years ago, there was pain, anger, misunderstanding, and endless social quarrels between me and someone I once considered not only a client, but sadly, also my “mortal enemy.” Life happened, emotions became heavy, and both sides carried wounds that only time could slowly mend.
But yesterday, by fate and unexpectedly, we crossed paths again at El Corso while I was having dinner with my friends and my partner. Seeing Niña Mabatid approach me with sincerity, reminiscing about the beautiful memories we once shared, and hearing heartfelt apologies from both sides made me realize something important — we are only human.
No matter how painful the past was, forgiveness will always bring peace that anger never can.
To many of my friends, family, and colleagues, this may come as a surprise. But at the end of the day, amidst all the chaos happening around us and within our nation, I choose love over hate, peace over pride, and healing over stress.
Despite everything that happened between us, I saw yesterday that she is still Nina Mabatid — someone who once became part of my journey, a client, a public servant, and once upon a time, a good friend.
Life is short. Time heals. Forgiveness heals. Humility heals.
May we all learn to let go of hatred and allow God’s guidance, love, and grace to lead us toward peace and understanding.
